Ber Gov't: Apparantly the strong French influence in Belgium has had a severe effect on the minds of the German soldiers serving there. The German government is at a loss to explain the actions of the soldiers stationed in Belgium. The Secret Service has been dispatched to conduct an internal audit that will determine the cause of the soldier's lack of discipline and unauthorized angriff auf England.

Ber Gov't: The German government would like to wish all nations and their leaders, whether friend or foe, a Frohliche Weihnachten, Merry Christmas. All German troops on all fronts have been ordered to stand down on Christmas eve and day. All enemy troops are invited to join German troops in friendship for the day, and gather round the Tannenbaum for some carols

(note the excellent living conditions of German soldiers in the trenches... just ignore the canisters of Chlorine gas)
