PEARL DANIO - Autumn 1901 GM Ally Bain
I find it hard to think who won between Italy & Austria, maybe I will call it a draw & a replay is soon to come.
Rumania is vacant but Russia took Sweden & Turkey kept Bulgaria. France seems to like the English Channel but I am sure they are happy with Belgium.
With two supply centres, Germany has only built one, as his request for the other was not vacant.
I wonder if the English sailors are practicing skiing!

Con: I have decided to attempt to showcase a different Darwin Award each season. For those of you who don't know what the Darwin Awards are, they were named in honor of Charles Darwin, the father of evolution, and commemorate those who improve our gene pool by removing themselves from it. Some of the descriptions will be longer, some shorter, but I will try and post only those stories that have been confirmed as actually having happened (people can be so stupid). A 1995 Runner-up for the Darwin Award. (31 August 1995, Egypt) Six people drowned Monday while trying to rescue a chicken that had fallen into a well in southern Egypt. An 18 year old farmer was the first to descend into the 60-foot well. He drowned, apparently after an undercurrent in the water pulled him down, police said his sister and two brothers, none of whom could swim well, went in one by one to help him, but also drowned. Two elderly farmers then came to help. But they apparently were pulled by the same undercurrent. The bodies of the six were later pulled out of the well in the village of Nazlat Imara, 240 miles south of Cairo. The chicken was also pulled out. It survived. Spring 1902 deadline: 19:00 BST, 1st May 2002.
