GERMANY (Tomasz Radko) It was pleasure to play. I believe I've made to big mistakes, that changed everything. First, in very early stage (first year, IIRC), I've blocked Russia to Sweden. In effect Russia was easy meat for Turkey (of course, Russia hasn't played perfect too [leeting Turkey get Black sea was awfull), but no gains in first year was a killer).
Second, shortly after that I've missed something and found a french army behind my frontline. I managed to survibe without loss of material, but I've lost tempo. starting from then I was always move or two behind everything.
After solving northern triangle (England was too gready) german-french alliance was born. Enland was dismembered, and all we need to do to win game - was contain Turkey. I believe French was easily able to keep their positions in Mediterrean, and I could take Scandinavia and keep pressing in continent. Turkey has too many fleets, which would be blocked, and too few armies.
That said, he/she played great, getting very quickly out of blocks and keeping going - congrats!

TURKEY (Joshua Barron) The game started off very well for me. Italy attacked Austria; England, France and Germany were at war, and it was only me and Russia. However, Austria had supported me to Rumania on A 01 in an effort to propose a future alliance. I was moving to Rumania to try to either bounce russia or take BLA. Instead I had both, and the following time I had Sev.
For Turkey to Solo, a fleet must either be put in the Atlantic, or StP must be taken. While going North there was a turn or to where it looked like England might get StP, but then they did not, and then England NMR. While I concentrated in the north, I used fleets in the south to attack Italy and rescue Austria from the brink of destruction. After Italy was weakened, I treated them as a common nation to be conquered.
I thought for awhile that a German - French Alliance would deny me a solo, but NMRs and anarchy helped the Ottoman forces prevail over all of Europe. While some might say its a shallow victory, The view from Istanbul, the captitol of Europe is that a victory is a victory.
Excellently played on Germany's part. Had France kept playing, even with all the luck I got at the beginning of the game, I don't think I could of reached 18, because you were slowly beating me in the north. Also, great job gm-ing Ally; no complaints from the sublime state.

GM (Ally Bain) I'm afraid to say that I'm only likely to remember this game due to those stupid idiots playing Austria, England & France. As you can guess, I really dislike NMRs & hate anarchy. If you think I haven't been playing long, well I started in 1983.
The end of the game is also shown in the stats I do therefore it's on http://mysite.freeserve.com/alb_gsb/diplomacy/stats/gunboatendings.htm.
To those you did play until their end, thanks for doing it & needless to say, well done Turkey.
