ALB: With regard to last weeks comment about speeding up the game you will now it did not happen. The country I mentioned got their orders in quickly & I accept their reasons for previous moves. I also accept their reasons from the country that caused it this time.

Austrian Govt: Dialogue in a meeting last Sunday night:

CHANCELLOR: - Poor Austria, nodoby likes us... (sigh)

WAR MINISTER: - I thought that this was a German problem... You know, that LOUD Kaiser, always talking about manifest destiny et coetera...

CHANCELLOR: - Yes, but look at this map! That Kaiser is well positioned... In due time, he will take all Europe!

WAR MINISTER: - Indeed.

CHANCELLOR: - What are the news from the front?

WAR MINISTER: - WHICH front are you talking about? We are encircled by Russians, Italians and Turks!

CHANCELLOR: - Italians! The worst army of the world!

WAR MINISTER: - They were strong enough to retake Tyrolia yesterday. Maybe they proceed right to Vienna.

CHANCELLOR: - What do you think about this Turkish demand from daggers?

WAR MINISTER: - Well, YOU are the Chancellor, not me!... But they must be talking about that Russian suggestion that the Emperor was stupid enough to accept!

CHANCELLOR: - Shut up! He could hear you! Anyway, YOU said that to attack Turks was a good idea! But your army surrendered almost from beginning of fight!

WAR MINISTER: - My poor boys, they never had any chance! You know, they were under pressure since 1901... Austria is a very difficult country to command troops. Too many ambitious neighbours!

CHANCELLOR: - Well, we must prepare resistence here! Of course, the last resource is to accept surrender...

WAR MINISTER: - NEVER!!! I will never surrender! I will retire to Switzerland instead!

CHANCELLOR: - Don't talk to anybody, but the Emperor is thinking about this option. Maybe we could stablish a Government in exile...

WAR MINISTER: - Well... At last, I think that I found what is our problem - EVERYBODY likes Austria! They like it so much that they want to conquer it forever...
