PRESS

Andy-All:
Please do NOT forget to include retreats in next season's (S1902) orders!

Andy-All:
Given the recent technical problems I have been having could you all please acknowledge receipt of the Adjudication, thanks?

Dark Lord-All:
Smirk all you like, you Russians you are but pale and shakey images in my gun sights, your death will be like a silent movie, no sound only falling into a deep abyss. The stench of your rotting bodies will be a pleasure in my nostrils. You too ugly English wimps. Hiding on your pathetic little boats quoting insane, talentless drivelling, poetry right up to the moment when the blade will slice down ripping out your throat, oh how the blood will rush out and oh how I will laugh in your wretched faces. How can anyone be so foolish, so trusting, the moment comes soon, so very soon and there is naught thou canst do.

As for you Italians, a bunch of boorish prattling rabble who make tanks with eighteen reverse gears. You think you look good sunning yourselves in Marseilles, how long do you think that will last. The smile will fade on your lips but not as fast as the blood will drain from your face.

Vie-All:
In an excerpt of his stirring speech that filled all the Empire's citizens with pride, Archduke Rod, aka The Handsome Habsburg, cautioned that those who battle the forces of evil must steel themselves against becoming evil themselves. In the riveting four hour speech that was written entirely by our spirited leader and interrupted with applause 67 times, Archduke Rod, aka the Handsome Habsburg, warned that " whoever fights monsters whould see that in the process he does not become a monster. And when you look long into the abyss, the abyss also looks into you." Well put your "high"-ness.

Lon-All:
London Calling:
Monsieur Thomsen has not met expectations. His comments about Belgium last season were parsed and found to be a grave insult to England. The English are committed to the mission of hurrying the scoundrel Thomsen to his grave. His duplicity, double dealing, and dishonesty have dirtied The Damned long enough. Time for him to die. Nothing personal, but it appears that anything French is poison. Indeed, the Crown worries about stationing English forces in provinces formerly of France for fear of contamination. Italy and Germany have promised to do the work of decontamination.

Lon-Vie:
Congratulations are sent to the Archduke for having set the Austria-Hungarian empire on such a successful course. Well done, my good friend Rod. I hope you have ordered your builds, especially considering your background in architecture. Or are you of the type that recoils at the thought of picking up a hammer? Do you persist in claiming that you are the Steve Bartman of The Damned? Foul is fair my friend. Don't touch that ball!

Lon-Mos:
London Calling Stolichnaya Steve:
Tsar Dean of Russia, we are all quite amused by the adventures of the Russian wanderers in Austria. Where shall they go next? Warning: we are still pissed at that northern fleet. Hooligans are holding weekly protests against you and all things Russian. Their chant is: "Damn you, Dean! Damn you!" Sir Wordsworth feared that the crowds would destroy incoming shipments of Stolichnaya; however, Swordsworth and some of the Beefeaters were quick to prevent such a catastrophe. Indeed, it is under the inspiration of the Russian spirit that much of this has been written. Aside to the erudite Werner: "Nembutal numbs it all, but I prefer alcohol."

The Clash come on with advice for Diplomacy:
"Why do you try to cheat?/
And trample people under your feet/
Don't you know it is wrong?/
To cheat the trying man/
So you better stop."

"You lie, steal, cheat and deceit/
In such a small, small game/
Don't you know it is wrong."

"So freeze, man, freeze/
Hit the deck!"

French Govt.-All:
"I know now, why the game got its name - since last adjucation I have used four of letters a lot of times ... damn this, damn you, damn me and particular damn, damn, damn."

Ber-Lon:
You can trust me I am a German. I like beer and I like dancing girls. Sometimes I dress up in funny clothes and pretend I have as sense of humour. But I do not; it is a pretence, I will turn and feast on your land as soon as I can.

Mos-Lon:
See, Paul, I do not have a front door those Austrian peasants have stolen it to make firewood to warm their children. But when I do come through the hole where the door once was, I will warm a few of you and that's a promise.

Andy-All:
More exceptional press from you all well done, although I'm not sure about those song lyrics!!!
