PRESS

Andy-All:
Please do NOT forget to include retreats in next season's (S1904) orders!

Andy-All:
Guys I'm away from Tomorrow through to Monday so I will confirm receipt of any provisional orders then.

Lon-All:
Even at the end of 01 when Ireland rebelled thus causing the failure to raise a second army the British Government knew the war was lost.

The only wonder is that the British army has survived this long in the frozen north. When the news leaked that the British king had asked the kaiser for safe passage to Italy (this request has fallen on deaf ears) his fate was surely sealed. The queen and the royal children have left to rule Canada while giving up their rights to the British throne.

The French will want to declare a republic (or incorporate Britain into the Third Republic) while the kaiser as son of the last queen's eldest daughter stands to inherit as rightful king. The only question must be who will reach London first. If it is the French the king will face the guillotine. If it is the Germans it will be the firing squad. If the English rebel it may be the gibbet.

Rom-All:
Now we see (I hope) the Italians in new found territory. Italians have always been keen on the Aegean and the off season is less crowded with Austrians. I have had to do something because the Greeks have asked me to assist them in throwing out the insensitive Austrian tourists.

Mos-All:
The Russian Press
While most of our military resources are in a heated battle with the Turkish threat, we are having a slight problem with a pesky English army in the North. However, we have reason to believe that the English pest will soon be called home due to lack of funding. English soldiers were heard complaining: "I'm not getting paid enough to freeze to death in Finland! Wait a minute! I'm not getting paid at all! Let's all go home!" English forces were seen running home.

As a side note, all of their running should be excellent training for next year's Olympic games. They will be held in St Louis, MO, in the United States of America. The fact that the games will be held "off continent" should be a terrible blow to KIng Stephen. He may not have the ships necessary to transport his team come next summer. But then again, since his army has such good runners, perhaps his Navy has equally skilled swimmers!

Across the map, France has won the battle for the coveted English Channel; Austria is as bad off financially (if not worse off) than England; and the war against tyranny continues worldwide. In celebration of Halloween, Russian forces traveled for some much needed R&R in the Rumanian Region of Transylvania. While there, native Rumanians welcomed them with open arms shouting: "We're free! We're free!" Immediately, their Turkish taskmasters insisted: "No you're not! Get back to work!" A battle ensued, and remains unresolved as of press time.

Andy-All:
Great Press guys. Thanks and keep up the good work!
