PRESS Andy-All: Please do NOT forget to include retreats in next season's (S02) orders! Thanks to all of you who took the time and effort to send press, From what I hear from several of you this is shaping up to be a good game and good press confirms that so please keep it up :-)) On a serious note though some of you are sending in part orders or sending in orders that use abbreviations that aren't on the list!!! Come on guys, the list of abbrviations is given completely in the houserules and it is also stated that you must send in a complete set of order each time. You CAN NOT send me an e-mail saying change this one thing on my last set!!! It is for your own protection that you follow these rules as otherwise it would be far too easy for me to make a mistake. Remember that when I am running the adjudication programme I can see one e-mail and the programme itself, I can't even see a map until after. From this point on if you send in orders which use the wrong abbreviation I will mark it as a mis-order and I will not accept incomplete sets of orders at all. Par-All:
Le Telegraphe, Oct 29 1901 ... "French Troops in Madrid" Acting on intelligence gathered by heroic French agents in Iberia during a long-running operation codenamed 'Napoleon', the French military has reluctantly taken on pre-emptive peace-keeping duties on the Spanish-Portuguese border to avert a serious conflict. "We will maintain forces in this region to for the greater good of the Iberian peoples and trust that ongoing negotiations in Madrid, Lisbon and Marseilles prove beneficial to both sides", reported an official spokesmen. The French government has also re-issued a statement confirming that it is committed to peace in the peninsula and expects all parties to abide by the Gibraltar accords. In other news, the Picasso exhibition in Paris is proving much more popular than expected and the event will be extended for another two months. Next week the French president will be extending official invitations to other European leaders to attend a special evening showing followed by unlimited champagne and snails. However, in an uncharacteristic display of coolness, Switzerland will not be receiving an invite - the president cites numerous diplomatic acts of aggression by the Swiss leader including restriction of entry to the Alpine province and 'criminal acts against the French language'. Tickets for the event are available from... Lon-All:
