PRESS Andy-All: Please don't forget the retreats and BUILDS for Autumn 1903. Andy-All: Please can you all remember to label your orders with the game name - Your power - and the season the orders are for. ANON-All: Cool for Cats (With apologies to Squeeze) -
The Italians sit in Venice looking down upon Trieste The Germans take positions in Vienna and the west Austria pushes Turkish fleet from Rum into the sea Cory doesn’t mind the stab it’s the verbiage he don’t need He refrains from shelling Russia as Alvaro dishes dirt And he wakes to find Italian fleets and armies in his skirt And mad King George rides around and says it’s cool for cats, its cool for cats
.......Cool for cats
France is doing nicely ’cos he's got the fleets to go And bag a Yankee salesman who is living near Heathrow His fleet has been to Scotland but returned to Liverpool His support for France from Belgium has made him look a fool He sails his fleets against the Hun, hoping for Denmark But Damian and Greg can just treat it as a lark And meanwhile there in Sweden is an interesting fleet, who prowl in Scandinavia And they’re very cool for cats, they’re cool for cats
.......Cool for cats
To change the mood a little Greg's been moving far and wide I think he thinks that everyone but John is on his side However on reflection his position is quite rough And future gains in Europe start to look a little tough He fancies this, he fancies that, he seems to be quite flash He's used a little muscle and a naughty southern dash He's made Alvaro bitter and perhaps he's been quite rash And when the dust has settled he'll be kicked out on his ass And ev’rybody tells him that it’s cool to be a cat, it's cool for cats
.......Cool for cats
Richard's there in Syria, Alvaro threatens Cory Will Brian take Rumania in the next stage of our story? If Richard gains from Cory will he build a fleet in Rome And send it sailing westwards out across the briny foam? Brian's had a slow start but he's never on his own No doubt we'll find out later in the meantime let's all chat And in Skilgannon when it’s cool for cats, it’s cool for cats. it's cool for cats....
.......Cool for cats
Aus-All: Sitting calmly in his palace´s beautiful music hall, Emperor Franz Josef received the news that german troops were spotted marching towards the unprotected austrian capital during a private performance of Schubert´s String Quintet in C Major. It´s said that the elder ruler remained placid and, gazing the north horizon through the window, limited himself to quote Shakespeare´s Julius Caesar: Et tu, Wilhelm? Andy-All: Thanks to all who contributed to a great press week and long may it continue! Sorry for the delay in Adjudication but I returned from holiday to find over 700 e-mails in my inbox which at least needed checking to ensure they contained no new orders. Anyway as you will no doubt notice we have a slightly shorter deadline this time to get us back to our normal day of Monday. AUTUMN 1903 DEADLINE: 09:00 GMT, Monday 14th November, 2005.
