PRESS

Andy-All:
Please do NOT forget to include RETREATS and BUILDS in next season's (A1904) orders!

Lon-All:
The Times of London

DEFEAT AT THE SOMME! Our gallant lads defeated at the Battle of the Somme! British Royal Marine Divisions following up victory in Belgium drove into Northern France where they were encountered a fierce counterattack by French forces. The thin red line faltered and was overwhelmed by French shock columns reportedly spearheaded by French Zouaves. British casualties were high and the few intact regiments that managed an orderly retreat were evacuated via Dunkirk

Napoleon Bonaparte (Spinning in his grave)-Lon:
Ha Ha!

Par-Lon:
Take your bad English cooking elsewhere! France will forever remain a bastion of taste!

Par-The Kraut:
Oi! A bit of a hand over here wouldn't go astray! Remember that agreement.......

Andy-All:
I notice the quantity of press is slipping! I hope this isn't a sign of things to come? Thanks again to those of you who did make the effort :-)

AUTUMN 1904 DEADLINE: 09:00 GMT, Tuesday 30th September, 2003.
